Sacred
Dance
There are no particular dances that are called sacred - it is the
dancing; the community; the way we dance together - that brings us close
to what is sacred. We use new dances as well as very old ones. We borrow
these dances from various peoples and places in the world, where they
still are a vivid part of the cultural heritage.

Why
dance circle dance?
I
dance because of the joy of dancing. It’s good for the body and the
soul. It is a way of seeking life’s inner meaning. I dance for
the joy of life! It is not dancing for others to look at - not a dance
just for the skilled - we can all take part in the dance if we want to.
On this website I try to give more answers to the question of why
to dance.
Dance-evening
in Mörarp
All dance leaders have their own way of realizing a dance evening. This
is one example of what it can be likewhen you
come together to dance an evening in a small village in Sweden.
Where

Kvinna
till kvinna (=woman
to woman) is an organization we support when we dance, by donating
money on each occasion. Many of our dances come from parts of
Europe where women need our support. Let there be a possibility for
giving when you come together. It is a way of saying thank you for sharing
these dances with us.
